This is such a powerful book! I’d learned a little about the Family of God from documentaries but the details here are absolutely chilling. And to say that I found her time in the military more unsettling is not hyperbole. Sexual abuse, trauma, and physical abuse all took their toll on the author but she created a real family and survived.
