This is my first time reading with Jenna. When I started, I thought this sounded like a child’s or teenager’s book, but the more I read, the more I wanted to get to the finish. Goodman’s style seemed unusual to me, but then I have been absorbed by Civil War novels. Sam faces struggles, challenges, fears, and uncertainty that many of us would find impossible to overcome.
