I've read all of the Kate Burkholder novels and a few of the short stories. This is my favorite so far. It seems a little more laid back, not as frantically paced, but still a page turner. One thing I liked better than the last few of the books is there was very little smut language.. Also, God's name was not used in a derogatory manner in this book for which I had knocked my reviews down a star in the last few books. This is a procedural and a page turner like all the other Kate Burkholder novels. I liked the ending and hope it's a sign of things to come.
