After a long wait for Mr. Spotswood's third book, I tried to savor Secrets Typed in Blood. Didn't work. Compelling, well-written, and funny, too, I couldn't put it down. Sure, trying to pace myself, after reading the first three chapters I stopped and re-read Fortune Favors the Dead. Then started again with the new one. The series just keeps getting better.
